o Constant Voltage Transformers

Constant voltage transformers, (CVT), also known as ferroresonant transformers. Constant voltage designs allow the primary voltage to vary while the output voltage remains constant. Additionally, constant voltage transformers can be designed to provide varying degrees of current limit. Standard output CVT’s are typically used as voltage regulation rectifier transformers in applications such as battery chargers and line regulators. Bulk circuits that require regulation and short circuit protection are ideal applications for this product.

Mag-Con designs and manufactures a wide range of 3-phase transformers for use in isolation, or to distribute power.  We can supply these as well as autotransformers, (also known as steup/stepdown), ranging from a unit you can hold in the palm of your hand up to 50 KVA.  These can be provided with a variety of termination to meet your custom needs.  Enclosures, either custom or standard, can also be provided per your specification.

OTHER SPECIALIZED PRODUCTS:

Mag-Con Rotary Speed Sensors are designed to detect either overspeed or underspeed conditions in rotary machinery.  The unique magnetic "Mark" sensing system allows reliable operation in adverse conditions.

Dust, dirt, grease, oil, metal particles, water, or snow will not inhibit proper operation.  The system does not require gears or toothed wheels with close tolerance pickup heads.  No mechanical connection to the machinery is required.  The sense head can be placed as far as 1500 feet from the control board.  (Consult the factory when planning placement over 200 feet).
